Upgrade complete. Blog when ready.
I upgraded to WordPress 2.2 and it looks like everything’s just fine around here. Dreamhost has a one-click install that will add or upgrade features to your website, so all I had to do was click a button and wait. But it’s a long 5-10 minutes while you wait for that e-mail saying everything was installed successfully. Usually I have to add/modify my themes and plug-ins all over again, but this time it seemed to bring everything over with no problems.
There’s no nice way to say this: I ride the metro every morning with some very hot seamen. With the new office located at the Navy Yard, there is one fringe benefit. A much more attractive commute. Of course when everyone from the old building is moved in, it’ll be the same faces, but for now I’m appreciating the small amount of variety in uniform on my way in. 😉
After yesterday’s stuff, I’m finding it very hard to concentrate today but I have a few things I have to make progress on before I head out the door. Tonight is sushi and drinks with J (the decade-ex), we’ve only been chatting via IM for a few weeks since we last hung out. He wants to take me camping — you heard right, camping. Everyone I tell this to says roughly the same thing, “You don’t really strike me as the camping type.” I have the skills and some of the gear, though I do need proper shoes for hiking, just not much inclination or many friends that get into it. Gregory recently asked me about horseback riding which I am interested in, but again, I need the right shoes/boots for it. It’s all about the shoes with me, isn’t it?
