I come up off the metro this morning, and I see a few people going up to the Starbucks door across the street, and then leaving.
I then see a few more come, pull on the handles, knock on the door’s windows and then leave while shaking their heads.
All the while there is a lone woman keeping a vigil, reading her newspaper. She is kind enough to tell me that they aren’t open yet, adding that “this is ridiculous!”
I’m without… my morning… coffee. As this is a very sharp contrast to my weekend at the Bay where the coffee pot was rarely ever empty, I’m having just a wee bit of withdrawal.
