Ten Years On…

Just thinking about 2007 now that we’re ten years on from it. I’m moderately more of an adult now than I was then, but I miss a little bit of my carefree shenanigans and not feeling weighed down by everything. I don’t even know if I’d really recognize myself from then, but it’s nice to flip through my online photo albums and realize what a difference a decade makes.

Resilience: A Black Lives Matter Mix

With everything going on in our country, I turn to music now as I have in the past to help work out and work through the pain and hurt. To try to heal in the face of a society that still isn’t whole and has resisted being so since long before I was born. A Facebook friend put together a mix of tunes that helps. #BlackLivesMatter

Beyoncé: Move Your Body!

All those friends and co-workers that make fun of me for loving Dance Central… take that! Beyoncé has re-written and re-recorded her song “Get Me Bodied” for the Let’s Move! project, supporting First Lady Michelle Obama’s childhood obesity campaign. Titling...

video: my saddle’s waiting!

Sometimes, there’s stuff I have to share, but don’t really have much comment to add. Not quite “presented without comment” but some things speak for themselves.

video: way too early…

I watched Important Things with Demetri Martin last night and I like it. He’s somehow less cute than I thought he’d be once he open his mouth. I guess I was hoping for a little more geeky/shy. But his comedy...

The first step…

Ok, I admit it, I have a problem. I heard a catchy tune while out drinking and it’s now stuck in my head. I’m not really ashamed by this… really! But it is a song by the Pussycat Dolls, “When...

I didn’t know there was a pairs event, too!

As much as I don’t care for most commercials, I have been catching more of them, or at least hearing more of them when I watch live tv since I’ve gotten up to go to another room. My main beef...

We are WAY past Footloose here…

Ok, I admit it. I watched “Step Up” last night. I’m not proud of this or anything, but when you ignore the “acting” and focus on the dancing, it was a pretty fun movie. Predictable plot and the lead characters...

Don’t Stop The Music…

It’s really hard to feel crap about the morning commute and workday if I cue this up first on my iPod shuffle. I’m not even all that big on Rihanna’s singing ability but it just takes the right producer to...

The dangers of aural pleasure

I defy most people to listen to “Rhythm of the Night” by DeBarge and not find themselves singing along with it by the end of the tune. If you don’t, then you either have no soul or you’re the kind...

Satisfied and Filthy

Much like pity sex or the “I relent, already!” hookup, playing Stepmania always leaves me sweaty, satisfied… and a little humiliated. But it’s oh so much fun.
