The DC Public Library has released a new video highlighting their artistic and cultural programs–including concerts, the maker-space and even dance parties–as part of their #LoveDCPLGive campaign. The video features music by local Washington DC band, Puff Pieces.
The video showcases many of the fun and interesting events they have put on this year in effort to become a central part of D.C.’s burgeoning art scene. DCPL has something to offer everyone in the community ranging from babies who attend story time to artists who perform at live shows to seniors looking to acquire computer skills. With the video the library hopes to encourage District residents to give back to the city and their city’s library by making a contribution to DCPL, which they can do through Network for Good.
It seems like every time I turn around, I’m learning about more and more unique and new things the DC Public Library offers! Walking downtown this past month, I saw that they’re now processing new passport applications… super-convenient. I always loved the library as a kid and living in DC, that sure hasn’t changed as an adult.
