This was the final straw?

YouTube disabled my account.. I’ve been cut off from the world of grainy amateur video backed by heavy metal music. No more vintage TV shows which will never been seen broadcast again. No more endless spoofs of current events. No more reliving Miss Teen South Carolina’s boner moment!

Ok, not really. I can still peruse their videos, I just can’t post anymore. Apparently someone’s intern finally stopped wanking to xtube vids and decided to go on a little hunt around YouTube and picked out my video for copyright violation. I’ve had others removed before, so I guess enough is enough for them.

I’m not really worried about all the videos I’d posted, I can easily recreate those. I just might and post a big “past video links” entry just as a screw you. What I’m really worried about, it may keep me up nights… is my video blog!!! — Yeah, ok, not really. I’ll likely do what others have done, either decide to boycott youtube or just swipe their videos for my own use when I need them. Hell I was still getting tons of views and comments on my videos as of yesterday afternoon. A lot of spam too, though. About 10 offers for credit cards from random users in the past few days. And much like AOL was, their spam reporting system is a joke.

Anyhoo, the straw that broke the camel’s back, Miss Coco Peru:

This video was linked to from tons of places, actually, even Miss Peru’s official myspace page, and if she wasn’t upset that it was online, I think the evil overlords that own the product might wanna lighten up a bit over 45 seconds of video.

If I were to be reincarnated as a drag queen I’d want to be Miss Coco Peru. 😎

Oh so agreed Neal. I wish she’d get more acting work, but drag queens who really commit to their roles aren’t as respected anymore.

Where on earth is the above applet linked from then? If you want to boycott the tube, do it with them.

Ben, that’s all mine. More of the recent videos I’ve posted have been hosted on my site. If a lawyer wants me to take something down, it won’t be so easy to find in the future. 🙂
