DC SHORTS LAUGHS COMEDY NIGHT RETURNS WITH COMEDY SHORTS & LIVE COMEDIANS
Three Comedians, Six Short Films, Many Laughs

The DC Film Alliance and DC Shorts International Film Festival announce the return of their annual comedy night, DC Shorts Laughs. Bringing together live standup comedians from the DMV community who perform sets and then introduce their favorite comedy shorts, DC Shorts Laughs combines the best of local talent and funny short films.

“Who doesn’t need a good laugh these days? DC Shorts Laughs brings cool comedy shorts and the brilliant, laugh-out-loud standup routines from the best comedians in the DMV, as the community has come to expect at this lively annual favorite,” said Joe Bilancio, DC Shorts Programming Director. “We are extremely fortunate to have so many gifted individuals who share their gratifyingly fresh and hilarious routines with us each June. This year will be better than ever!”

The evening’s lineup of comedians includes: on-air correspondent and writer for the political satire show “Redacted Tonight” on RT America, Natalie McGill, who is also hosting the evening; Baltimore native Chris Lawrence; and Funniest Fed competition winner Freddi Vernell. The six short films include Holly Goes to Therapy (15 min), How Tommy Lemenchick Became a Grade 7 Legend, (11 min), and WHAM (3 min).
