speaking of sodas…

I had a funny moment while watching the tape of Carnivale that Rob made me a few weeks ago. Their VCR is good, but I think the audio filters in it are a little old, I sometimes have to turn it up a lot and when I do there’s a hiss in the background, no big deal since I just turn the captions on the tv on. But at one point, the character asked her daughter to bring her a Nehi, referring to a soda, and I wasn’t paying that much attention to the sound, so I saw “Bring me one of them knee-highs, will ya?”
I just started chuckling to myself that the person writing the captions wouldn’t know of Nehi soda.
