We needed to win 2 games to secure 3rd, but we didn’t.. lost the second one by *4* pins. Though the team we were playing against had 2 bowlers switch to left handed this season, which artificially lowered their averages across the season, so that in the latter half, their averages wouldn’t be able to catch up with their high game scores. It’s a good tactic, I suppose for a team of very good bowlers that was sick of coming in last against more erratic teams with mediocre handicaps. Still burns me up to share 3rd place though.
Tonight will be Cosmic/Xtreme Bowling as our final week “banquet/party” and that should be fun, just some no pressure bowling and good eats. I need all the fun I can get with the way my mood may go over the next few months. Part of me is hoping that the roommate will have his typical “bad monday” and cancel on bowling tonight, but then I remembered, there will be free food, and likely some free drinks as well so.. fat chance (in every interpretation of the phrase).
