at least it isn’t “Mortal Monday”
For years, there would always be a new Mortal Kombat game released on September 13th.
The weekend went rather well, went for drinks after work on Friday at Levantes with Matthew and a co-worker & spouse, had a good time, saw the new Krispy Kreme, wasn’t tempted and rode the 42 bus home in the first time in a LONG time. It did feel a bit like coming home.
Saturday I walked down to the Farmers Market to get apples. I don’t know what it is about this new apple variety Honeycrisp but I absolutely love it. When I was a kid, I only liked crunchy apples, if they got mushy, I’d throw them into the composting part of the backyard or cut them up and leave them out for the birds. Then I got some video game time in and a bit of laying about, then went out for dinner for my birthday with Matthew and Michael at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que. MMMMMM, good! Then we went bowling and called it a
Sunday I got some more relaxing time in, watched the previous night’s cartoons (Justice League Unlimited is definitely hit and miss, while The Venture Brothers continues to crack me up). Then Matthew took me out for dinner at IHOP where I stuffed myself silly. Got some laundry management in at home and ironing for the week done, then some more video game play while I watched Adult Swim (Normally a City of Heroes rant would go here, but I’ll save that for a filter of those that actually play it).
It was a good weekend though, tonight is the first league bowling night of the season, so that should be fun as well.
