First look at the Green Lantern script, from IESB.net. The page starts with an introduction to the more popular heroes that have held the title in the DC books and then:

So now that you are all well versed in the history of the Green Lantern, which one of these heroes did D.C. Comics choose to base their new Green Lantern script on?

None of them!

Instead we are introduced Jud Plato, a bumbling idiot.

It goes on to explain the jaw-dropping qualification Jud displayed to be worthy of the Green Lantern’s search for a new ring bearer and well.. goes downhill from there. In the light of the recent successful super-films, I’m hoping they take a long hard look at this script and tell an intern to go use it for birdcage liner.
