Random Rainy Ramblings

iPod shuffle is never random. As I was leaving the office getting sprinkled and then full-out rained on, my pop music mix was playing a remix of Rihanna’s “Umbrella”. I advanced to the next song and it was “Umbrella” by Vanilla Sky, another double-press to advance gave me the album version of “Umbrella” by Rihanna. Oh come on! And yes I did check to see that I was on shuffle play and not going in order. Ooh baby, it’s raining…

On the metro ride home I noticed that Forever 21 bags have “John 3:16” in small print at the bottom of the bag. The irony of it being the “everlasting life” passage made me chuckle and then I realized that the store’s name may be the only one I’ve seen that at least seemed appropriate.

And when you’re trying to be “good” and drinking water and tea all day long, not only can you set your watch by your resulting bathroom visits, but no matter how many times you go before your commute home… it’ll never be enough times and that walk home from the metro is the longest walk in the world.

I’m feelin’ pizza tonight.
