As I slowly stop writing election-related entries…

Michael gave me the heads-up on MSNBC reporting that Obama won North Carolina, so I headed over to see that it’s just a Breaking News banner, no story feed from the AP yet. I scrolled down a bit to see if there was a link to the story and I saw one of their self-serving Flash ads:

My only thought was, “That is super gay.”

I actually like MSNBC’s makeover incorporating the spectrum into their site. It reminds me of the spectrometers from chemistry class in high school, but something about the ad above just screamed gay to me. Gay gay, not third-grade gay.

Michael also showed me this and I nearly choked on my lunch. I said that if we were truly possessed by demons that we’d have some form of supernatural powers. He and I are now discussing exactly what kind of powers those might be.

One could argue that closeted dudes considered their attraction to other dudes to be the power of seduction, but that’s too easy. Maybe homosexuals, at one time, possessed the ability of pyrokinesis which actually led to them being called flaming and the coining of the term fagot for firelighters, and it just kept bouncing back and forth since then. I’m all for powers, so long as it isn’t projectile vomiting or neck/spine rotation or anything gross like that. 😈
