work: what me, hireable?

I had my “on-site” interview today, actually meeting the federal client and seeing where I might work. I’m still deciding what I want to do, but I can’t help wear a smile and perhaps a slight swagger. Being in-demand, professionally, is a little intoxicating. Definitive recognition & appreciation of your skills–not just that “we appreciate our employees” crap–is about one of the best work highs you can have. A new company wants me and my current company doesn’t want to lose me. That’s a position I’ve never been in! Feels kinda tingly…

I really wish there were a place to go tonight to have a few drinks and shake my proverbial boo-tay. But I suppose cider, WoW and Heroes will have to do. I do believe, however, that I need to find a way to get a “night out” outing to happen, and soon!

Sounds like you’ve got some leverage. Milk that cow till the tit is sore.
