in DC: 44 MILL-ion dollars!!
Spotted these guys at Gallery Place/Chinatown metro on our way to Lucky Strike on Friday handing out check-styled flyers for the upcoming movie Too Big to Fail:
Based on the bestselling book by Andrew Ross Sorkin, ‘Too Big To Fail’ offers an intimate look at the epochal financial crisis of 2008 and the powerful men and women who decided the fate of the world’s economy in a matter of a few weeks. Centering on Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, the film goes behind closed doors to examine the symbiotic relationship between Wall Street and Washington.
Since we don’t have HBO, I’ll have to watch it later online… or not. I just thought that it was a pretty clever marketing idea. Though I was surprised by how many people had no idea what they were up to seeing that the ads have been plastered all over metro for a few weeks. HBO didn’t do so well with K Street a few years back, so maybe they’ll have better luck with Wall Street? 😛
