hacking the motorola v265

I’m sure I mentioned how Verizon is the anti-christ before, and when I was going to buy a v710 with bluetooth, I stopped because Verizon decided to cripple the phone’s best selling point, full bluetooth capabilities. I went with a cheap v265 from ebay, but still found it crippled in terms of mp3 ringtones and getting pictures off the phone (Verizon thinks you should pay them for every file transfer and time spent on the phone-ter-net to download stuff).

So I did what this guy phoric did and looked online for the hakka-lakka. This guy leads you right to the best places to search and provides nice instructions. All you need is the right tools and some courage.

Not that my cameraphone is the best quality, but I do snap a good 3 or 4 pics a day and it’s much easier to deal with when I can access the phone’s contents via my computer instead of paying Verizon the insane amount of money it would take to manage them one by one. Let alone having Destiny’s Child “Lose My Breath” play when my phone rings! 😉
