Cute ad: Surprise Mom

I normally don’t pay that much attention to commercials, thank you TiVo, but I caught this one and it cracked me up.

I do talk to my parents often enough, but I did get years of “don’t forget to call your mother” long before we actually had a decent rapport where it wasn’t just plain weird and uncomfortable to call home. Even so, once every two weeks or so is quite enough. My mother’s just as adept with e-mail as anything else, but the parents still don’t get the idea of “you can call me too, instead of moaning about me not calling you.” 😛
