Long uttered joke finally in t-shirt form

Unfortunately I am no longer buying geek t-shirts that only come in black, even though there seem to be plenty available as only the X(XX)L size ever sells out. Also I don’t play CCGs and anywhere I wore it here would be relying on the Dennis Miller Ratio that anyone else might find it funny. Still, it makes me laugh even if I won’t buy it.

Penny Arcade shirt design: I'd tap that.

I don’t really get what’s with the standard color for geek/nerd tees to be black. Perhaps it better masks sweat stains from sitting still? However it would seem to make Cheetos stains more obvious… Rather than dip into the non-age-appropriate clothing wells of Abercrombie, etc. I’ve been a Threadless junkie for a while now and more recently I’ve been turned onto shirt.woot. With the exception of this one, most all of them have been non-black. Not that I don’t have any black tees in my closet, but I prefer options… colors… taste the rainbow, damnit!

  1. I made a tap that mana joke, and apparently it was one of the reasons my geek fiance fell for me, haha.

And I don’t know why either! They’re always black. Maybe because… black is slimming?

I second What Liz Said: dark colors — and black especially — are slenderizing. There are many out-of-shape geeks out there in the wild.

Says I as I sheepishly raise my hand.

Liz & Fredo: I did consider that black is slimming, but there are simply some physiques that are well beyond the abilities of fashion to distort.

Also I need to find a good queer geek that would fall for me after using a similar line. 😉

Well, I’m sure I will lose geek cred points, but I had no idea what the shirt meant.
I figured it meant hit or tap or something similar.

And I refuse to buy any more cool t-shirts until I lose about 10 pounds and this muffin top from around my waist.
