tv: Absolutely Fabulous? — Absolutely NOT!
Sweetie, darling, this is simply NOT Absolutely Fabulous.
Forget the threw up in my mouth line, I think I just felt a piece of my soul die. Celebuzz has photos from the filming of the American remake of Absolutely Fabulous. I love me some Kristen Johnston, but I simply can’t see her as Patsy. At the least, they could have called in Christine Baranski to channel Maryann Thorpe.

Now onto the more distressing problem presented by these photos: There’s yet another British adaptation coming to Hollywood. The strike’s been over for a while, writers; time to get back to work, guys.

I was just about to blog this. I can’t imagine how this could be at all entertaining. They tried to do a show loosely based on AbFab with Mary McDonnell and Jean Smart back in the 90s called High Society. It was wretched. I give it 2 episodes tops.

I’m with you on the soul death and the Baranski. I saw her in the hall when I worked at the Kennedy Center and she was doing Mame – almost peed my pants.

Baransky would have been ideal, but I, too, have faith in Johnston. However, who the hell is Kathryn Hahn?
