news: metered?!
Just ran into this when surfing from one New York Times article to another. I’ve heard stories of the coming paywall, but hadn’t encountered it myself. I understand why they feel the need to do it, but found it odd that there was no warning that I was near my limit.
Even odder? I went to my browser’s location bar, edited the URL and was able to view the previously-blocked story. As this David Sedaris tale will teach you, there’s not much point to a wall if people can easily bypass it. 🙄
