events: Rock ‘n’ Roar
The 80s never die… we just fail to admit they ever existed. Except when it comes to music and I am sorely tempted by the upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roar event at The National Zoo next month:
Come hear the B-52s in a rockin’ summer concert at the Zoo!
Enjoy party music in a truly unique setting. Thirty years and 20 million albums after their debut, the B-52s remain among the most beloved rock stars ever.
August 10, 7-9 pm. Tickets: $50/65/125.

I’ve yet to attend any “special” event at the Zoo, mostly because I visit it all the time, having lived a short walk away most of my time in DC, but after skipping The Monkees at Wolf Trap last weekend, I can feel the nostalgia bug nibbling at my brain.
I haven’t been to a concert in a few years, but maybe I can wrangle some friends into going and spending a warm evening bopping around to The B-52s…
The Love Shack is a little ole place where we can get together… Love Shack, Baby…Love Shack, Baby, Love Shack…
Damn it, why in the middle of the week? I missed them when they were at Busch Gardens,-(I think last year.) I would love to see them in concert. Errr for it being on a Wednesday night.
