He ain’t gonna release the original versions of the Star Wars movies on DVD.. stop asking.
From Lucas’s recent interview with Entertainment Weekly: “When ‘Star Wars’ came out, I said it didn’t turn out the way I wanted — it’s 25 percent of what I wanted it to be,” Lucas told the magazine. “So the choice came down to, do I please myself and [finally] make the movie that I wanted, or do I allow the audience to see the half-finished version that they fell in love with?”
Now, a certain wize mize needs to remind us all how to get our LD/VHS copied home versions. Or I can borrow VHS from friends now and make my own dvd copies. 🙂
I can probably get the new dvd set for $30 and I just might. Once I clear a space for it, that is. 😛
