brunch: Nice buns!

cast iron cinnamon buns

I met Fredo over at Gallery Place to hit Matchbox for brunch. Well worth the trip, though nearly everything on their brunch menu was named “cast iron” for both the cooking and serving medium. I’m glad we split the order of cinnamon buns, they really should say that it’s 6 rolls.

The Museum of Crime and Punishment's "velvet rope"

After brunch we had a little walk and headed past the National Museum of Crime and Punishment. I’m still a little amazed at the total kink factor of their velvet rope. However with the museum being so new and mostly unheard of, I doubt they get much of a chance to use it.

It still feels too hot outside, but taking the metro to places that are a short walk away isn’t too rough though I’m quite content to be a bum on the couch today or deal with the indoor chores as much as possible. For now… I can hear the TiVo and the couch calling my name! šŸ˜€

As for the Museum of Crime and Punishment, I missed that one on my last trip.

I saw a commercial for the museum for the first time this morning before I left for work.
