Vibrance, Vitality, Verve… Vivanno™!
Kris said that they were good and he was not wrong! It tastes a bit like the old Carnation Instant Breakfasts, but a little richer. And I did observe the barista putting in a whole banana and whey powder, so their claims are at least true on that front.
To compare my usual order to the new offering:
- Vanilla Latte (venti): Calories 320, Fat Calories 80
- Chocolate Banana Vivanno with a shot of espresso (grande): Calories 260, Fat Calories 40
I’ve been skipping “coffee for breakfast” for a few days now, so having it is more like a treat, but this smoothie is some tasty stuff! I doubt it would become an everyday thing, but while it’s in season, I could definitely replace this with my morning java and be just fine.
I am trying, very hard, not to change the overall design of the blog again. I like this theme even if it does put my smilin’ mug by every entry. I’ll be messing with the sidebar somewhat and trying to figure out how to give proper props to the blogroll people. I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis, but it’s always hard to put them on the front page since the list goes on and on.
I’m a coffee purist – I like it in two forms only: either plain black “drip” coffee, preferably a dark roast (either hot or iced), or espresso (preferably multiple shots). BTW, I did a cost-benefit analysis of coffee vs. sex, and determined that you get way more bang for your effort from a cup of coffee. “Strong coffee, much strong coffee, is what awakens me. Coffee gives me warmth, waking, an unusual force and a pain that is not without very great pleasure.” —Napoleon Bonaparte
Can I have this without the banana, because thats just gross!
@kyle: I completely understand being a coffee purist, but if I have straight black coffee, it does things to my body and energy that is akin to approaching the Speed Force. I have to cut it with milk or cream otherwise I’m buzzing hard all day long.
I don’t doubt your cost-benefit analysis either!
@Lolypup: You have fruit issues. That just ain’t right.
I think this qualifies more as dessert than coffee.
Kinda like those frappucino’s, only different.
But having said that, banana smoothies are delish.
Ok, I haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid, I mean Vivianno yet. I’ll have to try it.
Your smiling mug at every post gives it a nice, columnist feeling.
