weather: uh…, whut?

Snow along Mount Pleasant Street NW

So, that was Monday. And by Saturday, we’ll be seeing temps nearly in the 70s. Perhaps this is just a fitting reward from Nature for our losing an hour on Sunday. After the week I’ve had, I need my weekend, hour shorter or not. I’m pondering Happy Hour on Friday, and Battlestar Galactica had better not disappoint.

I’m meeting up with Michael, Fredo and Moose for dinner tonight at Georgia Brown’s. Tonight is Dining Out for Life:

On Thursday, March 5th, 150 restaurants in the Washington metropolitan area will join together to support men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by contributing a percentage of their sales to Food & Friends.

Food & Friends is the only nonprofit organization in the Washington area providing daily, home-delivered, specialized meals, groceries and nutrition counseling to individuals in the community who are facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. The funds raised through Dining Out for Life allows Food & Friends to continue to provide these critical services at NO COST to the clients.

Good food for a good cause with good friends. I’m sure some restaurants will still have open tables tonight, though not too many as this event tends to be very popular each year. 😀
