The more praise for you that an e-mail contains, the fewer people will be cc:ed on it.

My usual workflow has the task coming down with: manager, client(s), contractor manager and contractor all in the to: or cc: of the e-mail, if its delayed, even more people seem to get into the loop, but if I meet or beat the expected deadline, a “thanks for your hard work” e-mail might be sent, to me only.

What’s up with that?
