A BlogSpot user’s account of being mugged on the Red Line this past Thursday and Metro’s response to the situation. A group of young girls took her iPod and SmarTrip card in what seemed like a planned job and possibly a recurring one.

I really feel for this woman, I constantly keep my eyes open when I’m riding the train or walking home from the station. And like her, what would make me most upset isn’t the loss of property, it’s the feeling of being violated, being reminded that there are no “safe spots” anymore. Even on a crowded metro train with tons of witnesses.
