A Robert Hays, Pam Dawber vehicle…

The Girl the Gold Watch & Everything Does anyone remember the movie version of this book from the 80s? For some reason, cheesy effects, plot and all, I loved it. I saw it so many times on cable by the time I was 15 I could recite the dialogue much like I can to Clue now. Perhaps because I could really use such a watch lately, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get all that I need to get done, done. Of course the logistics would really suck since only living things seemed to be immune to the effects of the watch’s power so I’d feel a fool trying to get any electronic work done after stopping time and realizing that my computer wouldn’t work, and even if somehow I managed to get my computer and its power to function, there’s the network, the internet, all manner of things that wouldn’t jive. Still, it’s a nice little fantasy. Ah well, there’s always cloning myself!

I’m still pretty productive here, but on some days it just piles up and no matter how much I do, the day gets away from me and all of a sudden it’s lunchtime, or time to head home and I’m nowhere near as far ahead of things as I wanted to be.
