food: Bake Sale for Haiti
Please allow me to apologize in advance if you’re already a reader of my food blog dine like a pauper, because this was already covered over there. I didn’t think I’d ever cross-post, but this is for a good cause!
The DC Food Bloggers are holding a bake sale with the the proceeds going towards Doctors Without Borders’ relief efforts in Haiti. Sunday, March 28th from 9-11am on the patio at Zorba’s Cafe, two blocks north of the Dupont Circle metro exit (Q St) and one block north of the Dupont Circle Farmers’ Market.
If you stopped by the last bake sale, you’ll remember that we had some pretty yummy items available and this promises to be more of the same. I might even be contributing some of my own wares if my schedule (medical stuff, blegh!) allows, but no promises–unless there’s just such an outpouring from my many fans that I am forced to make something.* 😛
For more information or if you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Adventures in Shaw, Thrifty DC Cook, Not Derby Pie or One Bite At A Time.
Also, grab a copy of the flyer to send around, post at work or post on your own blog/Facebook pages. This time around there’s just a 2-hour selling window, so we won’t be out all day, but we will make for a great stop before hitting the farmers’ market and the more, the merrier!
* Yeah, right. Even I’m barely convinced that anyone’s reading this thing anymore.
