sports: Rock the Red!
I was rockin’ the red*, but it didn’t seem to helps the Caps net a win over the Kings, losing 4-5. But the end of the game was an emotional roller coaster! Even though they didn’t win, the rush of that last goal with about 90 seconds left brought the entire crowd out of their “we’re gonna lose” melancholy and back on their feet. I’m glad Michael had a spare ticket again. I’m not sure what it is, perhaps the weird combination of brutality and grace, but I really do love hockey. I can still say that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much on TV, but in person it was great. Plus we had great seats. 😉
After tagging all the eye candy on the way to our seats, I can’t imagine why there aren’t some bear outings to hockey games. A lot of the spectators, straight as they may be, seem to be perfect examples of the “I’m a bear and automatically find that hot” template. It was also Military Night so there was plenty to look at, and honor… we were honoring them, of course! About the only bad part of last night was making it through the cold weather to and from the Verizon Center. I really hope they weren’t joking about it warming up this weekend because I could use a break from all this.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m really ready for Spring!
* I haven’t succumbed and bought a Caps shirt/jersey yet, but if I keep attending games, I suspect it won’t be long before I do.
I’ll be there tomorrow night! C-A-P-S, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS!
(I’ve got a shirt and two hats… I’m not even a diehard fan. You totally need a shirt!)
latest entry: i have more than three toes, but i’m definitely a sloth.
