Some critics have called Daniel Craig the coolest Bond yet, but I’m not sure this is what they had in mind… 😈

Set for distribution during National Ice Cream Week (June 1–9 in the UK), Del Monte created the popsicle–sorry, ice-lolly–after asking more than 1,000 women which male celebrity they’d like to see on the end of a stick. From the Telegraph, Daniel Craig in 007 lolly:

“Daniel Craig topped our poll of Britain’s coolest celebrities and thanks to our Del Monte lolly replica he is officially immortalised as super smooth and licensed to chill,” said spokesman Matt O’Connor.

I wish they’d spent as much time on his head/face as his body. It’s clear what areas the artists were focusing on. In any case, not only can you now suck on Daniel Craig,* but he comes in flavors and it’s less than 100 calories! So if you cared to… you could even suck on him twice in one sitting.**

In case you didn’t know where the title came from, I present the following sketch from Season 3 of The Electric Company, but I take no responsibility for its effect upon your sanity.*** Lick a Lolly:

*** This song is one of my recurring earworms. It often battles both The Brady Bunch and Patty Duke theme songs for dominance–among others.
