I love how animated GIFs are making a comeback as art, and not just in the Tumblr screencap way. Unfortunately the format still isn’t the best–up to 10 MB for an animation at times–but it beats creating movie files that aren’t fully supported everywhere online.2

2 Seriously, why is that? Even in this blog, I’d have to use a plugin or rely on a site using HTML5 embed.
