New Year’s Day? Let’s Go to The Mall!

I don’t have any particular resolution to use this blog more in 2023, but I am trying to lean into the idea that I can write whatever here, long- or short-form, and it’s not subject to anyone’s whims except my own.

By the by, if any millionaires out there are looking to buy a website, make me an offer. I’m easy, but I’m not cheap.

I didn’t make it out of bed to stream on New Year’s Day, but I did rally to hang out with a friend and we took a long walk on The National Mall because the weather was simply gorgeous, and we hadn’t been there in a while.

We had a good walk, and great conversation, just talking about whatever came to mind, how we think the year is going to go and just enjoying the sunshine, the monuments, and popping in on Einstein before heading home. We also passed by the National Christmas Tree and ducked into the Willard InterContinental because it’s always properly decked out for the holidays.

I’m not sure what kind of winter weather we’re going to get, so taking advantage of 60s and sunny outside was a great way to start 2023.

Also: Punch Buggy! Blue! I called it first. 😂
