iPhone: unscathed!
Yeah I totally upgraded my software to 2.0. Initially I was being lazy and figured that I’d get around to it when they released it through iTunes for all people. But this morning I got the urge and figured it would take about as long to complete as it would for me to get ready to head to work — wrong, it took a bit longer. Still, I upgraded, downloaded a few free apps and was out the door. Unfortunately since wifi does not flow freely here and as you can see my signal strength sucks in the office, I haven’t played with it all that much. Jott is the only application I haven’t opened at all, and I’m thoroughly disappointed with Bank of America (no shock there) as their “application” is no different than surfing to their mobile site, no advantages offered by the application at all.
Still, I’m glad I upgraded before this morning’s rush. The stories coming in about it sound a little nightmarish on the part of employees and those lined up. Also, the new shortcut to take a screen capture? Love it. 😀
I am wholeheartedly and aggressively jealous of you right now.
Thanks for the information! I have linked to this post at The DC Feed.
Al got his brandy new iPhone 3G this AM. It took several hundred tries to activate it, but it is up and running now. It’s quite beautful. So much so that I am considering killing the voice plan from verizon and getting one myself.
I think I’ll wait a week or so to upgrade to 2.0…I’ve heared about the nightmares of today.
i tried to set up wifi and failed. my wpa2 passphrase is so complicated i couldn’t type the thing into the phone. why don’t they allow you to use itunes for that kind of crap
