Braaaaaains. I mean, Daaaaaates!

Per twitter: ZombieHarmony. Because the apocalypse doesn’t have to be lonely. — Love it.

Had a lovely dinner out with Paul, Al & Paul, then off to Halo where Victor treated us well as usual. My new comfort food: prime rib and gin & tonic. Easily found at many places in DC or in my own kitchen. Life is good.

I’m thinking for Restaurant Week, I might just make my own 4-star meals at home and skip the $35 menus. Not that I don’t love going out to eat, but as a foodie, I’d go to these restaurants any time of the year, not just for 2 or 3 weeks during it. I challenge other cooking-inclined foodies to do the same.

You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.

    Hmm Cooking special meals isn’t a bad idea. Any suggestions?

    Arson! Yes, I said it Dumpasaurus Rex. Arson. Salmon is a fish, not a paint color. Arson.

    @Road: I have a bit of time to plan, but I’d like to tackle something I’ve never made before. Revisit some of my old favorites, and most importantly attempt to make these meals on a small scale. That will be the hard part.

    @pyack: Er, uh… ok? 😉
